The short version
- 48 hours, individual, server-wide. 16 rounds: 8 a day, every 3 hours from reset, 20 minutes each.
- Go all-in on damage. Enemy counterattacks are weak and don't scale, so defence is useless here.
- Fight alone. Being in a crowd costs about 7% of your damage.
- Kill at least 5 ships in one round to get the daily rewards.
- The leaderboard is for show: no extra rewards for ranking.
- Rewards: Cocoon fragments and Component Modules.
How a round works
- Each round is 10 waves of a single Calamity Ship, with 10 seconds between waves.
- Each ship has more HP than the last. Wave 10 has almost 10 billion HP and isn't meant to die: just keep hitting it until the round ends.
Fleet setup
- Full damage. Ignore defensive stats and abilities.
- Swap out utility and defensive champions (Klara, Doug, Ajita…) for pure damage dealers, even Epic ones. An Epic damage dealer outscores a well-built Legendary tank here.
- See Combat basics for how ATK and INT turn into damage.
Where to fight
- Calamity portals appear in every level 4, 6, 7 and 9 system (9 locations). Look for the red/pink portal icon on the galaxy map.
- Find a spot to yourself, usually in lower-level systems.
- Stay in one place. Damage is tracked per location; fighting in several systems at once doesn't add up.
